Louie has laboured to put all of his knowledge into seminars, books, articles and videos all of which is full of rich information. However, hidden under the endless numbers is the one fact to take away from Louie…

In order to continue getting better, you need to find out where you are weakest and train them until they are no longer weak. Period.

Yes, Louie talks a lot about the dynamic method, max effort method and repetition method, bands, chains, accommodating resistance and 3 week pendulum waves. However, learning how to diagnose your weaknesses and correctly train them is paramount to achieving excellence in any subject, training or life related.

Louie Simmons is exceptional at diagnosing faults with the power lifts and fixing them. Learning how to look at all movements in CrossFit and how to get better at them will greatly accelerate your road to greatness. It is easy to get overwhelmed looking at all your weaknesses and going about how to fix them. You can easily simplify it by working on 2 different weaknesses every 3 weeks. Once you have chosen what 2 movements to work on, search around the community for coaches or training partners that can help you improve those movements and repeat every 3 weeks.

Start implementing this tip right away whether you are training for the 2014 Reebok CrossFit Games or trying to do your first workout as prescribed.
